Staffing Management Accountability Framework: Internal Staffing Audits

Internal Staffing Audits:

The expansion of staffing authority to, and within, departments is accompanied by a need to ensure compliance with the ADAI, applicable legislation, central agency policies and, of course, the department’s own internal policies.

CAWLAR Consulting provides departments with access to both comprehensive internal audits and issue- or sector-specific studies of staffing activities and files.  This type of study assists departments in determining whether they are in compliance with the ADAI.  This approach also provides departments with advance warning of possible central agency audit concerns, as well as with an opportunity to correct these deficiencies before they are identified by the central agency.

Staffing Certification:

For departments that require staffing certification, CAWLAR Consulting provides a staffing file review service.  Files are reviewed from both an administrative and a technical perspective, taking into account both legislative requirements as well as department-specific issues.  The department is provided with a written rationale; and, at the request of the department, staffing advisors may be provided with feedback on the quality of their staffing files.
